چکیده
An assessment of potential groundwater areas in the Ifni basin, located western Anti-Atlas range Morocco, was conducted based on a multicriteria analytical approach that integrated set geomorphological and hydroclimatic factors influencing availability this resource. This involved use geographic information systems (GIS) hierarchical process (AHP) models. Different were classified weighted according to their contribution impact reserves. Their normalized weights evaluated using pairwise comparison matrix. Four classes potentiality emerged: very high, moderate, low, occupying 15.22%, 20.17%, 30.96%, 33.65%, respectively, basin’s area. A map (GWPA) validated by with data from 134 existing water points receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve. The AUC calculated at 80%, indicating good predictive accuracy AHP method. These results will enable operators select favorable sites high potential.

Mapping of groundwater potential zones in Killinochi area, Sri Lanka, using GIS and remote sensing techniques
Groundwater is a vital natural capital for the consistent and economic provision of potable water supply for both rural and urban environments. There is now a strong consensus that climate change poses a fundamental challenge to the well-being of all countries, with potential of being the harshest on countries already suffering from water scarcity. Dry zone of Killinochi basin in Northern Sri L...
متن کاملGroundwater potentiality through Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) using remote sensing and Geographic Information System (GIS)
Nowadays the use of remote sensing and Geographic Information System (GIS) is one of the most powerful cost effective tools to identify and discover the available groundwater resources. In this paper, Lithological Units, Lineaments, Slope, Topography, Drainage density, Vegetation and Isohyets lines have been achieved by stations and through remote sensing and GIS techniques. All layers of diffe...
متن کاملForest Fire Potential Modeling and Simulation of its Extension Using Remote Sensing Data and GIS: (A Protected Area of Arasbaran)
Forest fire models are generally used in different aspects of fire management and are helpful in understanding and prediction of fire behavior. Forest fires cause a significant damage for public property by destroying a large tract of forest. This helps fire fighters to focus on an area with greater risk and to develop better substructure for fire fighter training and ultimately to plan fire-f...
متن کاملUsing geographic information system (GIS) and remote sensing (RS) in zoning nitrate concentration in the groundwater of Birjand, Iran
Previous studies have shown that the presence of nitrate in drinking water can cause several diseases especially in the infants, such as cancer and blue baby. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has since adopted the 50 mg/l standard as the maximum contaminant level (MCL) for nitrate for regulated public water systems. This study aimed to evaluate the concentration of nitrate in the drink...
متن کاملIdentification of Groundwater Potential Zones in Moalleman, Iran by Remote Sensing and Index Overlay Technique in GIS
Water plays a vital role in the development of activities in an area. The surface water resources are inadequate to fulfill the water demand. Productivity through groundwater is quite high as compared to surface water, but groundwater resources have not yet been properly exploited. Keeping this view, the present study attempts to select and delineate various groundwater potential zones for the ...
